Me and Police Museum

Saturday, May 21, 2011. I'm with my friends visit a museum that is located near my school. It is still one area with Kebayoran baru. The museum is located at Jl. Trunojoyo. No.3 Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. Museum that I visited was Museum Polri. The museum is located beside to Police Headquarters. It is rather difficult to get into the museum because the entrance is rather narrow. I chose this museum as a place to study my visit because I have never been to this museum. I was given to know the museum is from my friend, lucky it was close to our school, so I selected this Museum for our trip. I was with my friend that is, Tama, Vitto, and Rifki together into a museum. The cost required for admission to the museum is also not expensive, because we do not spend a dime aka gratis. When entered the museum I felt comfortable because, this museum is different from the museums I have ever visited. These include such modern museum museums outside the country. The museum is comfortable with the architecture inside it. The history museum is also not a lot because this museum was established on Monday, June 29, 2009. It's almost two years of existence.
Police called Rastra Sewakottama symbol which means "Servant of Police is the Home of the Nusa and the Nation." This title is the first of the Tri Brata Brata who swore as a guide to live police since July 1, 1954.

Police are growing and developing of people, for the people, it must take the initiative and act as a servant and protector and the protector of the people. Should be far from the acts and attitude as a "ruler". It turned out that this principle is in line with police in all countries understand the so-called modern new police philosophy, "Vigilant Quiescant" (we were on guard all the time so that the public peace).

The principle is embodied in the form of a logo with the details of the following meanings:

Poles and torches meaningful affirmation police duties, in addition to giving sesuluh or lighting are also significant public awareness of conscience to be always mindful of the need for security and order conditions for the steady

Jet torch which amounts to 17 with 8 corners transmit plated 4 poles and 5 buffer meaningful August 17, 1945, Proclamation of independence day, which means the Police play a direct role in the process of independence and simultaneously claim that the police never be separated from the struggle of nation and state.

Rice and cotton stalks describe the ideals of the nation towards a just and prosperous life, while 29 leaves of cotton with 9 buds and 45 grains of rice is a statement of the date of inauguration of the first police chief who held 29 September 1945 by General of Police Said Soekanto Tjokrodiatmodjo Raden.

3 Stars on the Tri meaningful logo is a way of life Brata Police. While the black and yellow is the color of the legendary Police.

The black color is a symbol of immortality and steady poise a significant expectation that the police always not waver in any circumstances; quiet, has a high national stability and excellence in order to always think straight, clean, and precise in making decisions.

Special Detachment 88 ANTI-TERROR

I chose one of the collections owned by museums, which supplies 88 Anti-Terror Special Detachment. Equipment installed at a statue, but enough to describe the equipment in use detachments, such as Kevlar helmet, vest (bulletproof vests), M4 Rifle, BDU (Battle Dress Uniform / combat uniform), Glock 17 pistol as a side arm / handguns.
Weapons detachment is not only the two weapons that have been mentioned but there are other weapons that are owned by this detachment that is, the Steyr AUG A1 as the Assault Rifle Police / assault rifle. These rifles Austria Steyr production. In addition, there are also AR-10 as a sniper weapon, made in America, Shotgun Remington 870 for breaching / breaking.
Starting with the history of the formation of this detachment, Detachment Special Detachment 88 or 88 is a special unit of the Police of the Republic of Indonesia to the eradication of terrorism in Indonesia. Special forces are trained red berompi specifically to handle all the terror threats, including bomb threats. Some members were also members of the team Gegana.

Detachment 88 was designed as an antiterrorist unit that has the ability to cope with terrorist problems ranging from bomb threats to the hostages. Detachment 88 in the center (Police Headquarters) measuring approximately 400 personnel comprises of expert investigations, explosives experts (bomb squad), and bat units in which there is an expert marksman. In addition each local police also have anti-terror unit called Detachment 88, consisting of 45-75 people, but with the facilities and capabilities are more limited. Police Detachment 88 function is to investigate reports of terror activities in daerah.Melakukan arrest to personnel or a person or group of people who have been confirmed as members of terrorist networks that could jeopardize the integrity and security of the state of RI
Detachment 88 is one of Indonesia's anti-terrorism unit, Detachment C Gegana Brimob addition, Counter Terror Detachment (Dengultor) Army, aka Anti-Terror Group 5, Detachment 81 Kopasus Army (Kopasus themselves as special forces also have anti-terror), Detachment Jalamangkara (Denjaka) Navy Marine Corps, Detachment Bravo (Denbravo) Air Force, and the anti-terror unit NIA.
The unit was inaugurated by the Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Firman Gani on August 26, 2004. Detachment 88 which initially consists of 75 people was led by Sr. Comr Tito Karnavian who had received training in several countries.

Detachment 88 was formed by Chief of Police No. Skep. 30/VI/2003 dated June 20, 2003, to implement the Law no. 15 of Government Regulation No. 2003 on the establishment. 1 of 2002 on Combating Criminal Acts of Terrorism, by the authority to arrest with initial evidence that can come from any intelligence report, for 7 x 24 hours (in accordance with Article 26 & 28). These laws are popular in the world as the "Anti-Terror Act".
88 Figures derived from the ATA (Anti-Terror Act), which when pronounced in English reads Ei Ti SSE. This pronunciation sounds like Eighty Eight (88). So the meaning of number 88 is not as long as this circulating that 88 is a representation of the number of victims of the Bali bombing is the most (88 people from Australia), also nor representation of the handcuffs.
Special forces are funded by the U.S. government through the Diplomatic Security Service (Diplomatic Security Service) The U.S. State Department and trained directly by instructors from the CIA, FBI, and U.S. Secret Service. Most teaching staff are former members of U.S. special forces. Information sourced from FEER in 2003 is disputed by the Head of Public Information (Kabidpenum) Police Public Relations Division, Commissioner Zainuri Lubis, and National Police Chief Pol Gen Da'i Bachtiar. Even so, there is a significant aid from the government of the United States and Australia in the establishment and operation of the Special Detachment 88. Post-formation, Detachment 88 has also been conducted in cooperation with several other countries such as Britain and Germany. This is done in line with the Law on Combating Criminal Acts of Terrorism Article 43.
