POLICE MUSEUM


I went to museum polri with 2 of my friends, Daviatri and Astidira. Museum polri is located on Jl. Trunojoyo no. 3, South Jakarta. That noon i picked up my friends then we went to the museum. We took some pictures in front of the building.   

Police Museum consists of 3 floors, 1st floor contains objects of history, there is also a room called the 'Hall Of Fame' which contains a chronology of the police leadership figures from time to time. On the first floor, we saw a variety of historical objects Police, most of the weapons. I could see a weapon called catapult Mortar 60 M2, which in his statement mentioned that the M2 mortar launcher is a Yugoslav-made weapons produced in 1965. This 4mm caliber mortar launcher can fire 50 rounds of ammunition per minute. Mortar launcher has a barrel length of 90 cm, while the overall length reaches 500mm guns. Although manually operated, effective firing range of this weapon can reach up to 1000 meters with a speed of 200 meters per second bullet. This weapon is used as an anti-tank and armored vehicles in combat. On this floor we also see some type of camera used in processing the crime scene documentation, such as a camera Zeiss Ikon 120mm dating from the 1950s and used for identification at the scene.There is also a Polaroid camera Super Color 1000 which is the instant camera that is used to process the crime scene.

In the room called 'Hall of Fame' we saw the figure of the leader of the police figures, one that I see on the DRS-General of Police. Mohamad Hassan, he was born in Muara Dua area, South Sumatra on March 20, 1920. His father was Haji Ahmad bin Hasan and his mother Hajjah Mariyatuh Koptiah bint Abdul Kholik Prince. Mohamad Hasan came from a prominent family, because his father was a village headman who works as the Netherlands East Indies, Mohamad Hassan can make educated in schools pemerinta Dutch East Indies. Education first adopted by Mohamad Hassan is Inlandsche Holland School (HIS). Subsequently he continued his school to Uitgetabreid LagerOnderwijs Meer (MULO) in the city of Palembang
Graduated in MULO, Mohamad Hasan continue their education to Middelbare Opleiding School Voor Inlandsche Amtenaren (MOSVIA). Mohamad Hasan began his career in the police environment through education or travel without the Police Academy (Akpol) first. After completing his education MOSVIA in 1941, then he registered as local government officials., Until it became an Assistant Wedena Lematang Ulu in 1945. At that time, the police office assistants, assistant district officer, and police district officer combined with the existing police force. Since then, Mohamad Hasan devoted himself in the police environment. After serving as assistant district officer in Lematang Ulu, he was assigned as Chief of Police in Pagar Alam in 1946 .. This is the beginning of a formal career in the Police Mohamad Hasan. Later became Deputy Chief of Police of Palembang in 1947. In 1949, the Acting Regent North Palembang and later became Chief Constable of Bengkulu in the same year. A year later, he became Chief of Police in Palembang.For the sake of supporting his career and then he took a formal education in the police environment. In 1951, Mohamad Hasan entered education Brigade (Brimob) in Porong, Sidoarjo and the Provost Marshall in the United States. Subsequently, he was educated in the Universities Police Science (PTIK) in 1952, which diselaikannya in 1958. After graduating from PTIK, then he was appointed Second Assistant Chief of Police of the State in 1959. Since then his career and his position in the police tend to increase. He was appointed Chief of Staff Commissioner General National Police Headquarters in 1962 and in the same year became Deputy CCN Administrative Affairs, PTIK Lectureship in 1964, the Coordinating Minister for Compartment Defence Staff Chief of Staff Armed Forces and Deputy IV of corruption in 1965, and Inspector General of defense in 1967. Finally, on October 2, 1971, Mohamad Hasan was appointed as Chief of Police to replace the 6th Hoegeng Iman Santoso.
